ViewSonic unveils two new & latest Android-based tablet devices, the 7-inch ViewPad 7 & the 10-inch ViewPad 10. The previous one is an Android 2.2 device while the latter is not just an Android tablet, but a dual-booting Windows 7/Android tablet PC.
ViewSonic’s newest ViewPad 7 runs the latest Android 2.2 Operation System. It has a 7-inch 800×480 capacitive touchscreen LCD display, a 3 Megapixel main camera & a 0.3 Megapixel front camera, Bluetooth & WiFi. With integrated 3.5G connectivity & the front-facing camera, users are able to do video calling. The 7-inch ViewPad has 512MB memory & supports microSD/SDHC up to 32GB. It’s battery offers up to 10 hours of use.
The newest ViewPad 10 is a dual-boot tablet PC with both Windows 7 Home Premium & Android 1.6. It is boosted by 1.6GHz Atom processor, 1GB RAM & 16GB SSD storage. The 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen has multitouch support & LED-backlit. It packs also a 1.3 Megapixel webcam, WiFi, Bluetooth & included microphone.
The ViewSonic ViewPad 7 will be available in Q4 2010 for $479 while the ViewPad 10 will come in Q1 2011 for $629.
