HP Agrees To Spend $1.2 Billion To Acquire Palm
Today HP agreed to purchase Palm at a price of $5.70 a share, this $1.2 Billion dollar transaction will help HP become a leader in the mobile phone market and give Palm a chance to stay around for a while. Palm has been said to be shopping around for a buyer for a while and it was widely thought that the leading cell phone manufacturer HTC would purchase Palm but last week they announced they weren’t interested.
